Women-Led · Citizen-Powered · 501(c)4 Civic Organization

Protect the Vote.
Defend the Count.
Hold the Line.

Momentum Rising is a civic leadership organization with a singular mission: protect every American's right to vote — ensuring that every eligible voter is not only registered, but able to cast their ballot freely, unencumbered, and without the threat of intimidation.

Built by Women.
Fighting for Every Vote.

Momentum Rising is a women-led 501(c)4 civic organization engaging the communities most vulnerable to the real and impending threats from an administration hellbent on preventing free and fair elections in 2026. We don't just mobilize. We go door to door, phone to phone, and text to text — to make sure every eligible voter is on the rolls, knows their rights, and can cast their ballot without fear.

Movements Matter

It started on a bridge in Alabama paid for in blood.

On March 7, 1965, roughly 600 voting-rights marchers attempted to cross the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, Alabama. State troopers and Sheriff Jim Clark's posse stopped them with clubs, tear gas and mounted charges, in what became known as “Bloody Sunday.”

Seventeen marchers were hospitalized. Twenty-five-year-old John Lewis had his skull fractured.

Two weeks later, on March 21, 1965, nearly 8,000 people set out again from Selma — this time protected by federal authority — beginning the successful Selma-to-Montgomery march, a five-day, 54-mile journey.

The Midterms

Following his defeat in 2020, Trump has promoted his pretext, without any evidence: millions of non-citizens voted, rigging the election against him.

Since his re-election in 2024, he continues to amplify the pretext. But as with everything Trump, there is his version juxtaposed against reality: Trump — with the full-throated support of many state attorneys general, secretaries of state, MAGA governors and MAGA elected officials, and with the blessing of SCOTUS — is throwing the might of his power into blocking Democrats, and Black and Brown voters, from one of the most foundational tenets of our democracy — the right to vote.

Momentum Rising's Midterm Focus

Momentum Rising will be focusing on Black and Brown communities in southern and swing states — particularly those facing Trump's threats: voter roll purges driven by DHS data surrender, armed National Guard, ICE and FBI agents deployed to polling places, and post-election threats to seize ballots and voting machines.

Three Programs.
One Mission.

🗂️
Before the Election:
Voter Roll Defense

Momentum Rising civic staff canvass, phone, and text voters in communities most vulnerable to purges driven by sensitive voter data surrendered to DHS. We find voters who have been improperly removed from the rolls — before they discover it at the polls on Election Day.

🗳️
Election Day:
Project Sentinel

Momentum Rising's Project Sentinel deploys trained, certified civic staff into targeted Black and Brown communities where federal agents are expected to be stationed outside polling places. Every incident documented. Every violation escalated. Every voter protected.

⚖️
Post-Election:
Defend the Count

Project Sentinel extends into the certification period — preparing civic staff for ballot seizures, certification obstruction, and litigation floods. Working alongside legal organizations with the infrastructure to respond, we ensure every vote cast is counted.

👩
Women-Led.
Professionally Staffed.

Momentum Rising employs experienced women organizers as paid professional staff — not volunteers. We are building the civic infrastructure that outlasts any single election cycle and grows stronger with every fight.

The Threat Is Real.
The Response Must Match It.

Millions of Americans will be purged from voter rolls before November 2026 and won't find out until they show up to vote. ICE agents will be stationed outside polling places in Black and Brown communities — not to prevent fraud, but to instill fear. And if the results don't go the right way, ballots will be seized and certifications will be challenged. We have already seen the rehearsal.

Momentum Rising exists to meet this moment with something more than outrage. We are building the citizen-led infrastructure to defend the vote before, during, and after Election Day — in the communities where the threat is greatest and the need is most urgent.

Consider what happened in Alabama in 2017. Doug Jones's Senate victory was delivered almost entirely by Black women who organized across the entire state without party infrastructure, without party resources, and without party support. They did it anyway. They won anyway.

That is the model. That is the proof. That is exactly what Momentum Rising is building — permanently, professionally, and on purpose.

The Vote Is Under
Deliberate Attack.
Here's Our Response.

The Trump administration is executing a coordinated campaign to suppress and nullify votes — before Election Day, on Election Day, and after. Momentum Rising has built a full three-program defense strategy: the threats, the legal response, the citizen action, and exactly what you can do.

We don't tell people "he can't do that." We tell people exactly what we do when he does.

What You Need to Know Right Now

Sept 25, 2026 · Supreme Court

The Purge Database Is Back On.

The Supreme Court let Trump's DHS resume using its expanded SAVE citizenship database to screen voter rolls. At least 25 states have used it — and in Maricopa County, 52 of 60 “suspected non-citizens” turned out to be citizens.

Oct 2, 2026 · Voter Data

16 States Handed Over Your Data.

16 states gave Trump's DOJ full voter rolls — including driver's license and Social Security numbers. DOJ sued 30 more states and DC for refusing. Courts have tossed 26 of those suits.

Sept 2026 · Polling Places

Will ICE Be at the Polls?

Trump has said he’ll “do anything necessary.” ICE agents were reported near polling sites during primaries in California, New York and Texas. Seven states have passed laws limiting federal agents at the polls. This is why Project Sentinel exists.

Sept 2026 · Redistricting

Nine New Maps. One Goal.

Nine states will vote on new congressional maps this November. Four of them — Florida, Tennessee, Louisiana and Alabama — redrew after the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights Act, erasing Black-majority and Black-opportunity districts.

July 2026 · Federal Agencies

They Fired the Referees.

Trump fired the remaining members of the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, leaving the federal elections agency unable to act — days after DOJ sent letters to election officials in all 50 states threatening criminal prosecution.

Sept 15, 2026 · A Win

The Mail-Ballot Order Stays Blocked.

The Supreme Court kept Trump’s executive order restricting mail ballots blocked for November. And in June, it upheld mail-ballot grace periods in 14 states and DC. Mail early anyway — and track your ballot.
